Motor work
Monday
late Tuesday morning ready to go to rebuilder
transfer case on left is NP219AM a fulltime case. one on right is whats going back in after rebuild. a NP208AM case which will let me run 2hi, 4hi and 4low
Tuesday afternoon.
this is when i knew there was a problem-the mocha goo coming out of #5 intake runner.
the #5 hole-note the two grooves. those were made by the piston pin and wore through to water jacket... hence the mocha goo everywhere.
the chunks in the bottom are whats left of the #5 piston
the one on the left came out of #5 hole. the one on the right is normal.
